Dashi Butter Steak

  • salt

    1/2 tsp

  • clove of garlic(sliced)

  • vegetable oil 

    1 Tbsp

  • coarsely ground pepper

    proper amount

【Dashi Butter】

  • ・butter 

    20g

  • ・Shimaya Dashi-no-moto

    1 tsp

The standard of measuring
  • 1 Tbsp (table spoon) = 15ml,
    1 tsp (tea spoon) = 5ml
  • Shimaya Dashi-no-moto 1 tsp = about 4g
    (powder type, granule type)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Bring the butter to the room temperature and knead until it is soft. Add Shimaya Dashi-no-moto and mix it to make dashi butter.
  2. Bring the beef to the room temperature and score the muscle of the beef about 3-4 places with a knife. Sprinkle the salt on the both sides.
  3. Heat the oil into a pan and fry the garlic on low heat until it is aromatic. Take out the garlic, turn the heat up high and put the steak. After searing the surfaces, set to medium heat and broil it both sides.
  4. Sprinkle the pepper on the steak and serve on a plate. Put the dashi butter and fried garlic on top.

If using granule type of Shimaya Dashi-no-moto, please grind with a mill.
